Federal Attorney Rammy Barbaris job is to fight for justice in the courtroom. But his duty to the community extends beyond that. He believes standing up for peoples rightsespecially the right to read and learnis equally necessary.

Thats why he created the Right to Read Scholarship.

In recent years, more and more books have been banned. Many of these books were written by black authors or LGBTQ+ writers. They talk about real issues like race, gender, and identity. When these books are banned, critical voices are silenced and that stops us from growing as a society.

Rammy believes that access to all kinds of books helps people think for themselves, learn new things, and understand others. Censoring books takes that away.
